Barsana is the descension place where Shree Radha Rani appeared in Her absolute Divine beauty 5,000 years ago. It is a sacred place of pilgrimage for devotees of both Radha and Krishn. The village surrounds a small hill where the main Temple of Radha Rani, Shriji Mandir, is situated. It is in the same location where Radha Rani’s palace was located 5,000 years ago. In this holy land with the Grace of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, Rangeeli Mahal Pratishthan was founded by Shree
Swami Prakashanand Saraswati in 1996. The majestic Satsang Bhavan, the largest hall in northern India, was
built in 2000. Envisioned and designed by Shree Swamiji personally, the stunning grounds have beautifully landscaped gardens, waterfalls, depictions of Radha Krishn leelas and a lighted fountain that dances to the rhythm of the nam sankirtan (chanting of God’s name). Sushree Krishna Tripathi is the president. Thousands of devotees flood the ashram to celebrate Guru Poornima with Shree Maharajji. Each day of the summer months at JKP Rangeeli Mahal is filled with Shree Maharajji’s association, devotional kirtan and parikramas; culminating in joyous celebration and all-night chanting on Radha Ashtmi (the appearance day of Radha Rani). JKP Rangeeli Mahal also is the home to Kirti Maiya Mandir Temple and Jagadguru Kripalu Hospital.

Barsana: Kirti Maiya Mandir Temple
Presently under construction, this temple is unique because it is the only temple in the world that will depict Radha Rani in Her bal swaroop, or childhood form, cradled in the arms of Mother Kirti. The amazing darshan will also feature a life-size deity of Radha Rani, the only one of its kind in Braj. The sandstone temple is being hand carved on site by the large number of temple artisans living at the ashram. The temple also will feature white marble carvings, and black granite columns. Begun in 2007 the temple walls are gradually but steadily rising.
Barsana: Kripalu Charitable Hospital
The village of Barsana is located in a spiritually rich, but materially poor district of Braj. JKP opened the hospital in 2006 to fill the critical health care needs of this rural population. Since opening, the hospital has continually expanded. Hundreds come each morning, and await treatment from the often fully curable diseases and afflictions they are suffering from. A full-service eye department has been completed and surgeries are performed every day. A naturopathic wing is being completed, which will also serve hundreds of patients a day. All services and allopathic and homeopathic medications are provided completely free of charge, regardless of ability to pay. The dedicated all-volunteer staff is extremely dedicated to providing quality care to those who come to them. Visiting doctors and specialists from nearby cities, and even the U.S., also volunteer their expertise during their extended visits to the ashram.
