Mangarh is a small village nestled amid the lush green farmlands of Pratapgarh District between Ayodhya and Prayag (Allahabad), U.P. Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, Shree Maharajji, appeared in this holy land in 1922 on the full moon night of Sharad Poornima.
In order to benefit the deserving souls desiring God’s love, Shree Maharajji founded the ashram at Mangarh Dham in 1966. Because of the overflowing Grace of Shree Maharajji, this once unknown and quiet village has been attracting the faithful ever since. The ashram has steadily expanded and, in recent years, has grown to accommodate thousands of devotees who come to experience the extraordinary devotional atmosphere.
To meet this growing enthusiasm, the original satsang hall was replaced in 1996 by a larger hall. That growth has continued, and now an even larger hall is being constructed for the unprecedented numbers of devotees who flock to Mangarh Dham. The ashram also contains numerous guest rooms, a large kitchen and dining hall, gardens, orchards and a goshala. Shree Maharajji visits Mangarh Dham several times each year, generally for the Spring Sadhana Program, which culminates in the joyous Holi celebration, and the annual month-long Sadhana Program held in October. Both programs attract thousands of devotees from around the world, who come to deepen their knowledge of devotion and God and practically experience the sweetness of Raganuga Bhakti, as taught by Shree Maharajji. JKP Bhakti Dham is also home to the Divine monument Bhakti Mandir and the Jagadguru Kripalu Charitable Hospital.
How to get there?

Mangarh: Bhakti Mandir Temple
As you pass the grand entrance of JKP Bhakti Dham and travel down the tree-lined road, Bhakti Mandir appears before you as if transported from the Divine world itself.
The foundation stone was laid on October 26, 1996, marking the beginning of construction of this all stone, hand-carved Temple. Standing 108 foot tall and built of pink sandstone, white marble, and black granite, Bhakti Mandir was inaugurated in a grand celebration in November, 2005.
Upon entering the glittering rotunda made of pure white marble, one beholds the janmsthan monument of Shree Maharajji’s birth place. Delicately carved Deities of the eight Mahasakhis (eternal personal aides of Radha Rani), personally established by Shree Mahrajji, encircle the main hall. Black granite columns rise to the first floor where devotees can pranam to the beautiful life sized Deities of Radha Krishn.
For further devotional inspiration, two side wings display depictions of Radha Krishn leelas and important events from the lives of Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Shree Maharajji. This place of pilgrimage is not to be missed. Like thousands of devotees, you too can enter the devotional world of JKP Bhakti Dham and receive spiritual guidance and inspiration.
Mangarh: Kripalu Charitable Hospital
Opened in 2003, the Kripalu Charitable Hospital now serves 400-500 patients per day with a full range of free medical services, from advanced diagnostic procedures, surgeries and physical rehabilitation to healthy baby care and child wellness. In addition to allopathic medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, Naturopathy and Homeopathy are available at the hospital. The impoverished, rural populace of the surrounding area come each day for full service treatments for conditions such as heart problems, high blood pressure and diabetes – ailments that would be life threatening if not for this hospital. 'Cataract Camps' (special programs for diagnosis and treatment of cataracts for large volumes of patients) and surgeries, which return sight to those about to lose their vision, are frequently held.
With a fully stocked on-site pharmacy, patients are given free medications vital for recovery. The highly trained staff are all devotee volunteers. Doctors and specialists who come from around the world to attend Shree Maharajji’s satsang also volunteer during their extended visits.
Shree Maharajji has said that without a healthy body, it is difficult to do devotion to God. Jagadguru Charitable Hospital at Bhakti Dham is bringing health, happiness and hope to the local population.
